An energy audit is an independent and systematic assessment of energy use and consumption conducted within the framework of a certified Energy Management System (EnMS) and/or an Environmental Management System (EMS) with a focus on energy performance. The objective of the audit is to identify opportunities for energy savings, improve energy efficiency, and provide recommendations for the implementation of cost-effective energy performance improvement measures.
The service includes both simplified and detailed energy audits. A simplified energy audit includes the following:
- Site visit and on-site assessment;
- Collection of energy-related data and operational information;
- Analysis and processing of collected data;
- Identification of resource-efficiency and energy-saving opportunities;
- Assessment of the potential financial, energy, and environmental benefits associated with the identified improvement measures;
- Preparation of an Energy Audit Report in accordance with ISO 50002 and EN 16247 standards.
